Become an intern with Access Referral Network! The ForAccess.com team values and actively seeks active participation of college-aged and graduate students for internship positions who may not yet have experience in their field of study, but demonstrate promise, creativity and enthusiasm in developing their skills, generating new ideas and showcasing their talent. For that reason, "Intern Avenue" was established and we work with interns on specific projects in conjunction with their University supervisors and professors to help them develop their talents and confidence.
Our interns have a strong history of creativity, as well as obtaining employment positions in leading companies in the marketing and public relations, IT, writing and business support and management industries.
The following is a list of intern positions available, but we also invite students and universities to submit specific internship proposals which would enhance our site or the services we offer to consumers or professionals.

Internships provide:

Opportunity to learn applicable aspects of the impact art, design and creative media provides for education, marketing, branding and growth of a business.

Opportunity to design, write and bring to fruition several media or marketing pieces.

Introduction into both profit and non-profit aspects of business and development.
Internship Description:

Participate in general company meetings (4-6). (Requirement waived and other conditions apply if intern does not attend university or live in San Antonio area.)

Work on any assigned team projects. (3-5)

Maintain weekly report (emailed or faxed) to supervisor (due each Monday by 9 am)

Create one new or substantive idea appropriate for implementation on site.

Assist and develop time-lines for completion of media/art projects assigned. (1-2)

Compare/Contrast report: Research 5-7 existing publications, PowerPoint presentations or html emails. Report strengths and weaknesses, using results to make recommendation as to an effective sample for site.

Contact Texas Media company for possible publication of approved form of intern's work (to create public awareness of intern's skills, as well as teach intern skills in marketing their work). (i.e. ads, commercial, a site feature, a mini-film, etc.)

Contact another state or national entity media company to request a display of intern created project.

Opportunity to be involved in Creative development of at least 4 of the following media, educational and marketing projects, such as: a.PowerPoint Presentations (1 educational, 1 marketing, 1 consumer oriented, 1 targeted to a specific professional group, 1 other (intern choice), ¦related to the site. b. Mini-CD interactive disk development and production c. Brochures (specific to a particular profession), letterhead and marketing designs d. Possible (if skills of interns allow) development of 15, 30, 60 second TV commercials e. Assist in Design and layout of full-color publication, as well as design/layout of quarterly newsletter to membership.

Business Internship Information (2 positions available)

Internships provide:
- Opportunity to learn applicable aspects of business development and establishment.
- Opportunity to assist in research of specific and differing business goals and objectives for a wide range of licensed professional groups. (i.e.: Physicians, Dentists, CPA's, etc.)
- Introduction into both profit and non-profit aspects of business and development.
Internship Description:
- Participate in general company meetings (4-6). (Requirement waived and other conditions apply if intern does not attend university or live in San Antonio area.)
- Work on any assigned team projects. (3-5)
- Maintain weekly report (emailed or faxed) to supervisor (due each Monday by 9 am)
- Create one new or substantive idea appropriate to implement to strengthen a business.
- Assist Director of Grants, writing 2-4 solid proposals using research, development and administration tools as required. One will assist either a non-profit group or an intern related project (such as stipends for interns).
- Opportunity to work with design, technical, business, writing dept and marketing teams in collaborative efforts.
- Take existing media database, verify information and extrapolate contact info Microsoft excel.
- Research & develop PowerPoint Comparisons displaying info available on ARN site and comparing it with 3-5 assigned companies & their information available to members.
- Assist in development, data entry, and dissemination of information to CD (student and participating universities each receive a copy for their own use, as well) regarding media contact groups (TV, radio, Newspaper).
- Assist in data entry of and business groups contact information (Chambers, Professional organizations, etc.) A substantial portion of this project is to create in Microsoft Excel a standard format so that future interns will be able to easily update, verify, and research additional areas remaining incomplete.

Grant Writing Internship Information Company Description: Mission (www.ForAccess.com) is to provide comprehensive and accurate information to consumers about licensed professionals worldwide.

- Opportunity to coordinate tasks and projects, research and fine-tune grant proposals.
- Introduction into both profit and non-profit aspects of business and development.
Internship Description:
- Participate in general company meetings (4-6). (Requirement waived and other conditions apply if intern does not attend university or live in San Antonio area.)
- Work on any assigned team projects. (3-5)
- Maintain weekly report (emailed or faxed) to supervisor (due each Monday by 9 am)
- Create or recommend one new or substantive idea appropriate for implementation on Access site and one non-profit site.
- Create and maintain an automated record to track completion of projects assigned (grants submissions, follow-up dates, to do list, application steps, administration of grants, etc)
- Compare/Contrast report: Research 3-5 existing grant application samples. Report strengths and weaknesses, using results to make recommendations.
- Develop telephone script and contact (writing) skills with possible future grant donors.
- Develop future suspenses for grants that qualify but are not yet funded.
- Organize, file, and maintain grant documents and materials
- Add data as needed for proposals or administration of grants.
- Assist Director to develop:
1/a grant to assist a for-profit entity and 2/an intern related grant.
- Write end justification to support grants (2-4)
- Other assignments as assigned by Director of Grants Dept.
- Director of Grants will work with interns to reach particular $ grant goals. (This is an excellent way for interns to learn how to write grants for their own future educational and research needs)
