I have broad experience in marriage and family therapy as well as specialized experience counseling disaster and trauma victims. My experience has been in private practice and as a volunteer counselor with various groups, including The Department of Corrections, The American Red Cross, and The Center For Healthcare Services (hurricanes Katrina & Rita).
People have come to me for help with a variety of issues. A few examples have been:
problems with employers;
boredom;
anger and abuse;
relationship difficulties (including sex, too much arguing, how to handle a situation);
living with someone who has children from previous relationships;
a wide range of personal life dilemmas;
being a caregiver and dealing with relatives;
emotional trauma (including pain from years ago that won't go away);
to satanic ritual abuse.
My years of experience have given me insight into people's lives and relationships, and has been key in whether to emphasize relationship education or counseling. Most couples seeing me have been pleased with the results.
