 Evaluate That Photo!

If people run screaming from the room, or suddenly look nervously away when they see your photo, it's a good indication you need a new photo.

Is a photo really that important?

Lets' look at it from the consumer's perspective...

If they select an attorney: would they want an aggressive, tough attorney or a wise, fatherly figure? Depends on what they need: a probate attorney who deals gently with grieving family members or a fierce attorney fighting for the threatened loss of their retirement benefits package!

Even photo backgrounds communicate a message...why do many doctors and lawyers have
walls of books for photo backdrops? It gives an impression of education and intelligence.

Visualize the image you want to project for your practice/business.

If your photo makes you look professional, that's the first impression seen by a prospective client.

Think about it…
If you have 3 choices on a web-page, which professional would you select first?

1. One with a name listed on a page but no photo,
2. Someone in baggy shorts, flip-flops and dirty t-shirt, obviously photographed by Aunt Gladys at the family reunion or
3. A confident relaxed, yet professional photo of an individual in business attire?

Talk with associates before making a group photo! Coordinating clothing colors is important for a final photo's 'polished look'.

Most photographers recommend solid colors for professional photos, so that attention is focused on the face, not the clothing.

Ask the photographer for advice & hints before the photo is scheduled.

Remember…if the photo needs retouching, pay a little extra to obtain a quality photo that represents you best.

A Photo IS Worth a Thousand Words!
