Color Chooser is a great tool ForAccess.com uses to allow you to view our web-site in colors you prefer,  

not the colors our designers picked, or Aunt Bertha who prefers hot pink, or our sleep-deprived programmers who favor blinding shades of red and black.

 

Color Chooser programming puts color control in your hands!

 How does it work? 

  1. Click on Chooser icon (top right corner on ForAccess.Home page). 
  2. Simply chose one of the awesome templates, hit ‘apply’. Every time you visit the ForAccess.com site, if ‘cookies’ are enabled on your computer, site will appear in YOUR color selection! (Sorry, but our designers, that Florida guy, Aunt Bertha & the intern insisted on designing & adding their own to the template selection, so if you like their colors, they saved you some work.)
  3. Don’t want our help? Want to try your own hand on color design and play around with the colors a bit?  Want to design your own color template?  Go for it!  Click ‘custom design’ and change the colors until you’re satisfied. 
  4. Hit ‘apply’ and, viola!  The colors or template you selected will appear each time you visit.

What is a color chooser?

But it’s not just all fun and games, folks.  We must confess there’s an ulterior motive. 

 

Did you know that approximately 10 out of every 250 visitors to your website are unable to distinguish between red/green, blue/yellow and even white/gray/black tones that you’re using on that professionally designed site?  That means, they click out of your site.  Goodbye.  Au revoir. Adieu. Farewell. Adios. Toodle-oo…  You’ve lost a visitor, and they’ve lost the ability to find products, services or support they need.

We want those experiencing various levels of color-blindness, or those visually impaired, to be able to adjust the contrast and colors of the ForAccess.com site so they’re able to find all the great resources available!
